Welcome to Auntie Katie's Cottage!
This fine traditional Cottage once was home to our Auntie Katie and is situated in an idyllic location on the sea front of the picturesque seaside village of Ballyvaughan. It overlooks Galway bay to the front with the stunning Cappanwalla Mountain to the rear. A short walk along the sea front brings you to all the shops, restaurants and pubs in the village.
This is an ideal location, as a touring base, for exploring the magnificent Burren landscape or visiting the many famous tourist attractions in the area such as the Cliffs of Moher, Aillwee Caves, Doolin and the Aran Islands.
Ballyvaughan is also growing in popularity as the focal point for such renowned walking tours as the 'Burren Way'. Other guided walking tours through the Burren region, to suit all tastes, are also available. [more
